Privacy policy

SignExpert (“we”, “our”) is a signage education, visualization, and project-preparation platform, a technology product of IshTechnology. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we handle the photos and artwork you upload, and the rights you have over your data.

Information we collect

• Contact & account: name, email, phone, and business name. We use passwordless email sign-in, so your email verifies your identity.
• Project details: sign category, approximate dimensions, quantity, installation ZIP, desired timing, installation/illumination needs, and any notes you provide.
• Uploaded files: storefront and vehicle photographs, logos, and artwork you upload to build a concept.
• Design concepts: the visualizations and AI-assisted concepts you generate and choose to save or submit.
• Appointment information: times you request or select for a consultation.
• Site analytics & cookies: page views, anonymized device/browser type, and IP. We use only essential and analytics cookies — no third-party advertising cookies.
• Assistant transcripts: messages exchanged with our shopping/help assistant, tied to a session token.
• Payment data (if applicable): processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

How we use your uploads

Storefront and vehicle photographs are used only to render your sign concept on your own property or vehicle. Logos and artwork are used to build your concept and to prepare your project for professional review. We do not use the camera or location (EXIF) metadata in your uploads for any purpose, and we recommend removing sensitive metadata before uploading.

AI-assisted concepts

We use third-party AI image-generation and cloud providers to create preliminary concepts. We will not use your storefront photographs, vehicle photographs, logos, artwork, or project files to train public or shared AI models unless you give separate, explicit consent. Files are sent to these providers only to generate the concept you requested.

Service providers (subprocessors)

• Cloud infrastructure & storage (Amazon Web Services) — hosting and encrypted file storage.
• AI image-generation providers — to produce preliminary concepts on request.
• Email (Amazon SES) — sign-in links and project-status notifications.
• Payments (Stripe) — only if a payment is processed.
• Government/legal requests — only when required by law.

We never sell or rent your personal information.

Project handoff to a professional sign provider

When you submit a project for professional review, we share it with a professional sign provider so they can prepare a formal quotation, production, and installation. This handoff happens only after you consent at submission. The information shared is limited to: your name, business name, email, phone, installation address or ZIP, sign category, approximate dimensions, quantity, desired completion date, installation and illumination requirements, your uploaded logo/artwork and storefront/vehicle photographs, the generated concept, your project notes, and any appointment selection. We record the date, time, and version of the consent you give.

Marketing

We send transactional messages (sign-in links, project-status updates) as part of the service. Marketing emails require separate, opt-in consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Retention & deletion

Project records and consent logs are retained for up to 7 years for business and tax compliance. Uploaded files and generated concepts are retained for up to 18 months after your last activity on a project, then deleted. Assistant transcripts older than 12 months are anonymized. You may request deletion of your project files and account at any time by emailing privacy@signexpert.shop; we will delete them within 30 days except where we must retain records by law.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. California residents have rights under the CCPA, and Virginia, Connecticut, Colorado, and Utah residents under their respective state laws. Email privacy@signexpert.shop and we'll respond within 30 days.
